save as corrupts result

OK, got the idea of source mp4 and save as. then the issue is the save as with mp4 source, the result is unplayable. this only seems to happen when the source is an mp4. mkv has been fine. tried with both v .31 and 1.09.

I can see the file, the size is correct, but when I go to play from finder or iTunes or Plex it won't play. I can scan along the time line and see movie frames with subtitles, but I cannot play.
