Filesize Not Affected By The Removal Of A Stream. "Optimize" is inefficient and takes too long.

I always just keep the English-language stereo audio stream of all my files and remove every other audio stream. I delete commentary-audio, other language audio, 6-channel audio (or any channel more than 2). If there's no original stereo stream, I downmix the best audio to stereo.

Because of this practice, I save a lot of space which is typically 15% to 20% of filesize.

I have read in another problem report that the filesize not changing is intentional and not considered a problem or a bug and you suggested using the "Optimize" feature. I used this feature but it takes too long. I don't know exactly what it does but it takes as long as re-encoding the actual video file. We don't want to re-encode the video file. Handbrake does that. Can you just re-mux quickly with the required streams and re-save the file with the lower filesize. Currently, I have to go to Windows and use XMedia Recode to do what I just described above. It does it on an average in 5 minutes and that includes sometimes downmixing a 6-channel audio to stereo. Thanks in advance.

Optimise just rewrite the file data. It's as fast as your disk, and there's nothing wrong with it.
