Is that a list of the genre id actually used in mp4? Because for example in the songs I purchased from iTunes rock is 18, in that list is 21.

sorry for the late reply yeah it seems so if you right click on a movie from the the itunes website and inspect the code where the genre info is it shows for example

    Saw: The Final Chapter <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/genre/films-horror/id4408"><span itemprop="genre">Horror</span></a>

    The Lion King <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/genre/films-kids-family/id4410"><span itemprop="genre">Kids & Family</span></a>

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/genre/films-sci-fi-fantasy/id4413"><span itemprop="genre">Sci-Fi & Fantasy</span></a>

Also is there anyway you could add an option to auto remove 'encoded Tool' and 'comment' tag as handbrake and ffmeg always leave there mark.

Do you have an actual file purchased form the iTunes Store to check if the genre ID is the same?

Oh right, I was confusing it with "User genre id", another tag with a similar name :|
