HEVC files created in Subler do not open in QuickTime

I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13 and the latest version of Subler. I've been creating H.265 m4v files for about a year and noticed files created before September do not open in QuickTime while files created after September do work. Also, the files that do not work have "HEVC (Parameter Sets in Bitstream)" listed as the format. And the files that do work have "HEVC" as the format. I would love some help for this.
