Problem with importing mka files
Hi,
I'm getting mixed results when trying to import mka files. I have narrowed down to the type of audio stream stored within the mka container.
If the audio is DTS the file is imported correctly. If the audio is ac3/atmos Subler says the mka file is not a matroska file (see attached screenshot).
Any clues?

reporter Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
Can you reproduce this: Download http://s1.demo-world.eu/hd_trailers.php?file=dolby_amaze_flat_lossless-DWEU.mkv
then: mkvextract tracks ~/Downloads/dolby_amaze_flat_lossless-DWEU.mkv 1:Downloads/dolby_amaze_flat_lossless-DWEU.mka
Import it to Subler. What do you get?

repo owner mkvextract doesn't create a mkv file, but a elementary stream or something similar (it depends on what you are extracting), if you want to create a mkv with only the audio track you should use mkvmerge.

reporter Hi, you are right. When I use the gui (mkvtoolnix) to extract the audio track and save the file with .mka Subler reads it correctly. I guess the gui uses as you say mkvmerge.
Do you happen to know the syntax to extract tracks with mkvmerge?

reporter What if I use mkvextrack and save the track as .mkv? I should test this. ..... No, this still does not work, as it still spits out an elementary stream. .....
It would be nice if Subler could import elementary streams. What do you think?
