app is broken won't update

so until just today this app has been very helpful but now when I search for my tv episode and even put in the season number/episode number it brings up nothing and further when I try to check for updates I get an update error: an error occurred in retrieving update information please try again later, really not sure what caused this app to stop working I even reinstalled it I'm currently running 1.4.10 on Mac OS 10.13.4

While I do not have update failed error, I am unable to download metadata from theTVdb.com As Samuel Gartner, I also am now receiving 0 results.

Wondering if this has anything to do with the recent overhaul of theTVdb website UI. Could they have changed their API?

The TVDB server had some issues the last week. If it doesn't work, you can always use TheMovieDB or iTunes.

The server seems fine here. Do you have an ipv6 address?

Please reopen if you have more info on the built-in updater not working.
