Importing metadata for obsfucated files

Can subler import automatically the metadata for obsfucated files? I was previoulsy using iFlicks and this worked fine. It pulled the metadata through automatically.

I’m finding with subler I’m having to manually put the season and episode number in and the show name before it will pull info.

What do you mean by “obfuscated”?

it’s where the file name is random letters and numbers to mask it

If there isn’t a title tag in the movie or something like that around it would be impossible to get the right metadata. It would help If you have an actual example I could test.

This is a good example. The actual file looks like this 2a13b63471614b19ad048eb179048338.mkv

The file has downloaded into show and series folder structure.

When I load the same file into iFlicks or Filebot it’s able to pick it up no problem and pull the meta data. In subler I have to manually start adding in the show name and series and episode number.
