Movie Ratings are enormous when viewing on Apple TV
Hi, first of all, thank you for creating Subler. It’s an incredible application.
I’m using the latest version of Subler (1.6.3 at the time of writing this)
I’m also using macOS Cataline v10.15.3.
Please see the screenshots attached.
In Subler, I’m selecting to scrape the metadata from the UK iTunes Store.
UK movie ratings are enormous when viewing them on Apple TV.
I tried changing the settings to the USA iTunes Store.
USA iTunes Store ratings display correctly, i.e. small and inline with the duration of the film, the genre, the year of release etc.
Is it possible we’re missing a specific Annotation when scraping?
Could that be what’s causing this? What else could it be please?
Apologies if this have been flagged previously.
Best regards,
Joe

I’ve uploaded two more images. One shows the metadata that comes from a file downloaded via iTunes. The other shows the metadata that I’ve added using Subler. Is it possible there’s something missing that could be causing the Movie Ratings size issue?

repo owner - changed status to invalid
Ratings are stored as text ( us-tv|TV-G|300 or something similar) in the mp4 file. That bug is entirely in the AppleTV software.

reporter You’re absolutely right. My humble apologies Damiano. I tried to do a reset. Didn’t fix the problem. I then tried a reset and update. Didn’t fix the problem. So I got my USB-C cable and tried to plug the Apple TV 4K into my Mac to do a full restore. That’s when I realised that the USB-C port has been removed on the Apple TV 4K. So I called Apple. They’ve never seen this problem before either. I’d go into a store for a replacement if it wasn’t for the Coronavirus. I’ll just have to wait till things are back to normal before I can get my defective Apple TV 4K swapped. Thanks again for getting back to me. Stay safe.

repo owner No need to get it swapped. It’s a software bug. You should report the issue to Apple in the Feedback Assistant app.

reporter Done! I completely forgot about the Feedback Assistant app. Thanks for reminding me. I hope they get it fixed.
