SRT export always starts subtitles timing at 0:00 instead of correct value
All subtitles are time-shifted. I don’t use this feature a lot, but in obliges to shift them back with another tool.
My use case is the following:
- capture DVB-T with EyeTV
- use ffmpeg to convert DVB subtitles to VOBSUB (converts .ts file to .mp4)
- open Subler and drop .mp4 file on it, convert VOBSUB to Tx3g
- save file (without doing it it doesn’t work I think - is iy when the actual OCR is done?) => subtitles are at the correct time
- export subtitles => their timing starts at 0:00

repo owner This can happen if the mp4 subtitles track uses an edit list. Do you have a sample mp4 file to test?
-
reporter I’ll try to make a small one tonight and attach it.

Files at the different steps of processing: - Initial ts file extract - After conversion of the subtitles to VOBSUB by ffmpeg - After subtitles conversion by Subler - Exported subs with the wrong timestamp and durations (subtitle ends when the next one starts)
