Tx3g italic subtitles extremely large

I’m using subler v1.6.5 on Mac Catalina to embed subtitles into mp4 files. I play them using plex on an appletv 4k. When the original srt files contain italic tags (<i>), the subtitles on the apple tv are displayed ridiculous extremely large (filling up the whole screen). I saw an other issue here in the list of about two years ago solving this similar problem. One of your last responses was a solution by giving all font tags the same font size, but apparently in the latest version of subler in 2020 this still gives issues (at least what I am experiencing). I there a way to fix this ?

It’s a Plex issue, you should report the issue to them. Font size of italic text is exactly the same as the one in normal text.

The issue two years ago was about Subler not setting the same font size to italic text. But setting it broke Plex… anyway, ask them to fix it.
