File naming preferences don't apply for files processed under queue

Hello from Canada. Apologies if I’m doing something wrong

I set the filename to rename to FileName (year) and it works perfecrtly
However when I process files in the Queue those preferences are not used
Is this intentional or an error? Perhaps a [x] checkbox could be added to ‘Apply default preferences’ in the queue settings?

I updated to most recent version and enabled that box and just did a run and tested with 4 movies. Even the ones that pulled the metadata were not renaming. THEN I CLOSED AND REOPENED THE APP and tried again! THANK YOU! I guess the preference didn’t ‘stick’ until I restarted.

In the preferences I had this set and now it works

The new settings are applied only to the queue items you add after making the changes.
