The in-app updater should reopen any currently open files

I run open -a Subler mynewfile.mp4 which works fine, my file is opened.

Subler then notices an update is available. Cool! I click on “install and relaunch” or whatever the button is.

A few moments pass. Subler restarts.

However it restarts with no windows open. The Open Recent submenu has forgotten about mynewfile.mp4 as well.

I would expect any open windows (just unmodified files?) to be reopened.
