Mono Audio Track Bitrate Changing After Tagging

Issue #661 closed

Hello,

I recently started organizing and tagging some old files of mine. They all are files I encoded using Handbrake, all mp4 h.264 with 160kbps mono audio tracks so that I can import them in iTunes/Apple TV.

When I open the files with MediaInfo before tagging them, it says 160 kbps mono audio tracks.

After I tag them, MediaInfo says “159 kbps / 160kbps” mono audio tracks. Everything else is the same.

Since I only add titles and dates and cover images, I don’t think anything actually changed with the audio tracks, but I’m a bit curious about what's going on.

The bitrate value read by mediainfo is stored at the container level. Subler recalculate it when you save the mp4. It’s just a vale to quickly display the bitrate, it doesn’t make any actual difference.
