Subtitles come up but then won't go away
I extracted a chapter from a movie via HandBrake (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssw5bllq1ax7vit/Predator 4 - The Predator Chapter 3 (soft ugly subtitles).mkv?dl=0) and when I open it in Subler and try to write it out as as an m4v file (to get the nice looking OCR subtitles) the one subtitle in that clip comes up at the right time (the 21 second mark), but doesn’t go away when it’s no longer needed. This looks like a bug to me.

reporter Sorry, I never got an email saying somebody responded to my post and the Issues topic list doesn’t indicate any views or responses. (I don’t really like BitBucket’s user interface)
You’re right - the subtitles do the right thing in QuickTime Player. I was using VLC 3.0.17 (which is the latest version) and that’s where the problem lies. I did also try it with a preproduction VLC-4 and the subtitles also do the right thing there. Looks like I should report this as a bug in VLC-3 in their forums then. Sorry about that.

Work correctly on QuickTime Player. What are you using to play it back?
