Description

<action type="autoconf"> is a shortcut for <action type="shell_command">./configure && make && make install</action>. You can use it as follows:

            <action type="autoconf" />

or you can pass options to configure with:

            <action type="autoconf">prefix=/home/gruening/test/</action>

As default with no parameter, prefix will be set to $INSTALL_DIR. An example can be found here:

    I should point out that there are two things "autoconf" could refer to:

    GNU Autoconf, which uses configure.ac to generate the well-known configure script.

    The well-known ./configure script, which is often (but not always) generated by that software.

    Björn,

    Since this has James' approval, we're going to merge this, but could you first resolve the conflicts that were introduced when your other pull requests were merged?
