Saving and moving to another maps takes very long with btrfs.

I recently moved my home to a btrfs based nfs server. Having the the save files and cache on that drive leads to massive (up to 2 minutes) wait times if i move from one map to another. I could be related to COW (copy on write) - so files are open/closed and written again....
So the proposal is to find a better way to save/cache files.

Right - its NFS and/or in combination with btrfs. I had similar problems related to this with other software too.

Are you sure it's not NFS to blame? It's notoriety is well known ...
