Hey,

I have two production installation of Bitbucket which were upgraded to BB version 9.4.2 (from 8.19.10) and I am no longer able to access plugin in Manage Apps. Trying to click plugin open just hangs the browser and and then fails to open. Other system shows for some reason that it is on trial.

Sounds like it’s in a weird state. I’ve never encountered this situation myself, but hopefully all that is necessary is a complete uninstall and re-install. Do you happen to know what version of Control-Freak you were on?

You will need to uninstall the plugin while Bitbucket is shut down. Here are the steps:

    1. Shutdown Bitbucket completely across all nodes.
    2. While Bitbucket is stopped, on each node take a backup of this directory: $BITBUCKET_HOME/shared/plugins/installed-plugins
    3. On each node, in that same directory, identify the jar file that corresponds to “control-freak”. (Should be called something like this: plugin.17081606231663396898.control-freak-2024.12.08.jar).
    4. Delete the “control-freak” jar file from each node.
    5. Start your Bitbucket back up across all nodes.

Once Bitbucket is back up and running correctly you should be able to re-install the plugin. Simply search for “Control Freak” in the “Find New Apps” screen.
