Merged in fix/iSAM-334 (pull request #310)
Some small improvements that were apparently never merged in response to issue 334 (which was resolved by Duy in another branch).
Re-factored and re-formatted, incorporated Duy's fix (don't de-reference bayesTree)
Add edge/vertex parsing from any input stream
Unit test, succeeds...
Added return types
