Add documentation for all diagnostics inputs
Add documentation for a few diagnostics-related functions
Docstrings for new/old diagnostics are identical. @warnings added where input parameters are only in one version, where they differ in default value or effect. Where input parameters are only in one module, they’ve been copied to the other, but commented out.
This is a first step towards a unified diagnostics module.
