Live USB searches in CD-ROM for TRK

I created a live USB with the trk2usb tool on a live CD, and an additional USB from the first USB.
Both USB drives worked and I was able to do what I needed. This was on two different models of Lenovo ThinkPads.
Today I tried putting both of those USB drives into a different machine, a Dell desktop. Both would fail to find TRK on the USB drive and would search for a CD-ROM. Incidentally, the keyboard was also non-responsive at this point and I was unable to type in a drive name/partition for it to search.
I don't know how to begin troubleshooting this, unfortunately, but I would love to figure it out as I anticipate needing TRK's functionality more frequently in the coming months.

It was 372, yes. I wasn't aware there are "un"official builds.

What build version of TRK did you try? The official one, 372 is getting very old
