mknewbuild succeeds but kernel gets panic
Issue #18
new
I'm trying to build the last version (I need a newer chntpw version), but keep getting kernel panic messages.
I build it with: sudo ./mknewbuild -b <some-num> Then I create a VM with the new .iso file as storage medium. I see the following messages: EXT4-fs (ram0): couldn't mount as ext3 due to feature incompatibilities EXT4-fs (ram0): mounted filesystem without journal. Opts: (null) ... Starting init: /sbin/init exists but couldn't execute it (error -5) Starting init: /bin/sh exists but couldn't execute it (error -8) Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found...
Thanks!

Do you mean you've been trying to build it with a late kernel? Know that there's a somewhat newer version from February 2018: http://trinityhome.org/beta/trinity-rescue-kit.3.4-build-400.iso
