Fans of CMT's 'Sweet Home Alabama' had been anxiously awaiting the show's return following an extended hiatus. The reality dating show which can be compared to a southern version of ABC's 'The Bachelor/Bachelorette' showcases a country man or woman looking for love. They have an equal selection of country and city contestants before them to choose from. In season 1, Devin Grissom chose Adam Moyer, while in season 2 Tribble Reese chose Tristan Smith. In season 3, which was the show's final season until now, Jeremiah James Korfe was Paige Duke's final man standing. Now, we have Kelsey Dee Smith looking for love. On Friday, November 15, we got the chance to meet her suitors.

Viewers have already picked early favorites. Likewise, SHA fans have already decided which contestants they do not particularly care for.

To give a recap of Friday night's show, of course we first got to know this season's bachelorette, Kelsey Dee Smith a little. Kelsey seems to be the quintessential representation of a kind-hearted southern belle. Thus far, viewers understandably seem to really like her as she comes across as down-to-earth and genuine. The 20-year-old sweetheart is an Alabama native, and is currently studying to be an elementary teacher. She loves children, and says she is ready to settle down and have a family.

Without further ado, let's meet Kelsey's 22 potentials:

City: Alex Stein - This guy is definitely the talk of season 4, and not for good reason. He is indisputably this season's villain. He is disrespectful to the country boys, and believes himself to be the best man there. This used car salesman has been on TV before, and seems to be forming an image that he isn't sorry about. I exchanged a couple tweets with this guy, and I'm not convinced that at the core he's REALLY as bad as we see on TV, but he seems to be completely content with being this season's "mean guy." I don’t think he and Kelsey will have any true chemistry, but she did say he was funny. As we know, the most disliked contestant always remains for a good while.

Anthony Marks - This Obama campaigner was not surprisingly sent home on Friday night. It was pretty clear from the get-go that he and Kelsey weren't going to be a match.

Chris Bachman - We haven't seen a lot of Chris just yet, but something tells me that he will be one of the city guys sticking around for a while. This Manhattan photographer/designer seems to be one of the most polite of the bunch, and will likely catch Kelsey's eye. Then again, I'm not really sure!

Danny Martinez - This guy is the typical New Jersey party boy. Though he may stick around a little longer, it'd be surprising if Kelsey picks him in the end. His eyes are going to at least secure his spot on a few more episodes.

Eddie "Dash" Williams - Eddie seems like he could be the life of the house. Episode one gives a ray of hope that he may be one of the "nice" city boys that becomes everyone's friend. Not sure how long Kelsey will keep him, but she is probably going to enjoy his personality. In the end, she will likely peg him as a “friend” that she wants to stay in touch with.

Emilio Vitolo – This Italian charmer helps run the family restaurant. He definitely comes across as cocky and full of himself, but something tells me that Kelsey is going to possibly find him appealing & “different.” Perhaps a date is in the future for him.

Kyle Hendershot – We haven’t seen much of Kyle yet, but I’m hoping he becomes my favorite city boy. He is an Ohio boy, and doesn’t live far from where I was raised. The neuroscience student is a fellow Buckeye, so I really hope he represents us well. He strikes me as one of the city guys that are going to be around for a while.

Nathan Kabanuck – The 31-year-old attorney is a suit wearing kind of business guy. Although he and Kelsey have a decent sized age gap, he is definitely one of the more likeable guys on the show this far. I wouldn't be disappointed if he went far, but I'm not entirely convinced that he will.

Todd Smith – It was pretty clear from the get-go that Kelsey was intrigued by this 22-year-old bartender/server. He also seems to have a decent personality. Previews show some kissing scenes between the two of them. I vote him as a final four contender.

Travis Leonard – Every season, there is a city boy or two that seem like they could represent the country attitude-wise. This season’s go-between is definitely Travis. He doesn’t seem into drama thus far. Perhaps him being a nurse has something to do with that. It’s hard to say how far he is going to go with Kelsey. It could really go either way, and I won’t be shocked either way. Good to see that not every city boy feels the need to be a jerk.

Tyler LaBrie – It’s a little early to form much of an observation on how Kelsey is going to view Tyler. Once again, it could go either way, but I don’t think much past the half way point.

Now for the country boys: Chase Miller – This country cutie hasn’t had a ton of screen time yet, but I’d be really surprised if Kelsey doesn’t at least go on a date or two with him. He seems like a strong contender.

Collin Varallo – Many SHA fans were excited for Collin’s return. He was one of Devin’s final four on season 1, and then went on to star in ‘Southern Nights.’ Varallo is definitely becoming a CMT star, and is one of the most popular with the ladies. Kelsey admitted that she has always had a crush on him, so it’s very obvious that they won’t be remaining platonic. Varallo could definitely be a finalist, but like Kelsey said, she has to see how their chemistry is. Varallo definitely has his share of critics, despite his large fanbase. Some viewers think he is fame hungry, and didn’t care for him on ‘Southern Nights.’ Even former ‘Bachelorette’ Paige Duke shared with her Facebook page that she’s not a fan of him despite his cuteness. She can attest to him not having a great personality. Varallo says he’s there to find love, so I guess we shall see how it plays out this time. He may be a tough one to beat because of Kelsey’s crush…..but then again, he’s got some serious competition.

Dylan Duos – This guy is definitely a season 4 favorite. The women are loving this respectable 20-year-old welder. It’d be shocking if Kelsey isn’t intrigued by this one. In fact, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if he is the one to walk away with Kelsey in the end. They seem like they could “match.” Duos’ biggest challenge is likely going to be dealing with Alex Stein. It is clear that Stein has it out for him. Perhaps he recognizes that Duos is going to be one of Kelsey’s picks, so he probably wants to shake him up. Despite the challenges he’s going to face, Duos is going strong and steady in this journey.....and he's going to be a popular mention on social media.

Jacob Lambert – This guy is definitely the comedian of season 4. Every season needs a Cody Harris with unstoppable wit. Lambert is that guy this time, and he has a few sidekicks to accompany him. This Marine, firefighter, and rescue diver is definitely going to catch Kelsey’s attention. He is the definition of a redneck, and another one of the city boy’s favorite guys to pick on, but he seems like he will have a witty comeback for every insult. Though I don’t think he will be Kelsey’s final choice, she is going to be friends with this guy for years to come. Previews show him expressing his feelings to her, so we know he is sticking around for a bit. Also, if he goes too early, a good portion of the entertainment is going to be gone.

Jared Knight – This sawmiller has a personality similar to Lamberts, so it is clear that he will make it through a few episodes at least. Knight is definitely fun, and the representation of a good ole boy. Kelsey is going to appreciate him for sure, but how long will he stay?

Jason Johnson – This 32-year-old lumberjack was a barrel of fun from the get-go, so I was sad to see him go. He was one of Jacob’s sidekicks in humor that I speak of. There are a lot of J country boy names this season....how is Kelsey going to keep them straight? Especially since the J guys are among the funniest ones. I kind of thought that Jason and his pet raccoon would be around a little longer, but he and Kelsey’s age gap made me believe they weren’t quite a match. Not too surprisingly, she found him to be the “friend” type for her. Jason is one of those guys that you hope finds a good girl….because he sure deserves one!

Jeremy Pestor – This guy is definitely the ultimate sweetheart of season 4. What’s not to love about him? He is a youth mentor, works with hospice, is saving himself for marriage, and prayed with Kelsey in episode 1. His good heart is going to make him a viewer’s favorite. Once again, there is a good sized age gap between these two, but he’s too good to go too early. If Kelsey sends him home, she is probably going to cry, and heck, the guys might even cry. He is going to be the one that Kelsey is going to “want to” feel it with, but will she? If she doesn’t choose Jeremy, she should probably send him my way…..

Justin Barnes – This cowboy isn’t going home too quickly I wouldn’t think. Viewers are going to adore him, and it seems high likely that Kelsey is going to as well. He’s cute, he’s country, and he’s fun. It would seem like some dates are in his future. In fact, I think we will be enjoying his company throughout a lot of this season.

Thomas Mann – Though this pilot hasn’t gotten a great deal of camera time yet, he is intriguing and different in a good way. Kelsey mentioned she has never flown in a helicopter…..soo hmmm, a helicopter date is in the future I’d say. Once again, these two could go either way. He could be among the finalists, or they may not “click” like viewers are hoping. Either way, SHA fans are loving him.

Thomas Wilson Pace – On every season, there is a city boy that could be a country boy, and a country boy that could be a city boy. Thomas Wilson Pace seems like the guy that isn’t going to have quite the country boy heart. Though he’s from Alabama and country to an extent, this personal trainer seems a little stuck on himself. The way he told the camera that no one can compare to him makes it seem as though he isn’t going to be a viewer favorite. I could be wrong about him, and it’s hard to say how long Kelsey will keep him, but I don’t think he will be everyone’s pick.

Zach Richards – This horseshoer and duck hunting enthusiast is also in the great personality club. He’s a good ole’ boy, and will impress viewers. I think he will be around for a little while. Once again, it's difficult to predict how long with the limited time we had during episode 1.

All in all, this season is a little harder to predict thus far. True, we’ve only watched episode one, but Kelsey didn’t pick any first date yet. Previews show that city boy Todd is going to get a fighting chance with her, but the sneak peeks aren’t too plentiful or revealing at this point.

We do know that Alex is going to cause some serious drama next week, and that he is beyond disrespectful to Boyd. Word of his poor attitude is probably going to get back to Kelsey in some way on a future episode. It is likely that he will eventually do himself in, but not for a good while. He is probably going to treat her completely different than he does the guys.

I do stand by my prediction that Dylan is going to go far this season. She appeared super giddy upon meeting him, and who could blame her? Likely Collin also isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and neither is Todd.

Previews show that someone really wins Kelsey’s heart, but who is it going to be? I'm normally good at making early predictions, but I'm a little afraid to this time. We've spent such little time with each guy, and haven't gotten to observe Kelsey's reactions to each of them all that much just yet.

What do you think of season 4 so far? Any prediction on who is staying and who is going? Do you have a favorite?

In case you missed episode 1 of the latest season, you can head on over to CMT to watch it on the web.
