Mindy is less than happy to find out her cheating ex-boyfriend Josh is getting married. But of course she accepts the invitation to prove that she’s doing fine. Unfortunately, Danny can’t go with her because his younger brother Richie is coming to town.

She tries to get out of the wedding by telling Josh that she has an emergency VIP paient to take care of. But when Josh doesn’t buy it and tells her that it’s okay and she’ll find someone eventually – Mindy is determined to go.

Mindy is convinced that Richie is gay and the rest of the office agrees. She’s worried that Richie came to town to come out to him and Danny won’t take it well.

Desperate for a date Mindy calls a escort service. Peter tells her that she has to bring him because he’s the best wedding date and needs to meet someone. She agrees to bring him if he stops telling her sad stories.

When Peter shows up dress in a tux and clean shaven as “Mr. Wedding,” Mindy is very impressed (and so are we). At Danny’s welcoming party for Richie, Morgan finds out that Danny already knows his brother is gay. Much to Morgan’s surprise.

Mindy is annoyed to find that Josh is doing much better and is having the dream adorable wedding she always wanted. Peter is impressed by the wedding and surprised to find that Mindy dated Josh. He tries to cheer her up by bringing her to the dance floor. At first she’s embarrassed but finds out he’s a really good dancer.

Richie brings a gift for Danny – The Miami Vice soundtrack. The surprise is that it’s not actually from Richie but from their dad. Danny immediately snaps the record and wants to find out what their dad wants. Danny is convinced that he’s up to no good.

After the wedding Mindy runs into Josh who asks about her date. Together they walk in on Peter with Josh’s new bride Corinne!

Josh blames Mindy for brining Peter to the wedding and seducing Corinne who apparently just got out of rehab for sex addiction. When Mindy admits that Peter isn’t really her boyfriend Josh calls her pathetic. (Seriously Josh?!)

Jeremy tells Richie that Danny was talking about his visit for weeks and that he can’t leave now. After saving Josh from what she thinks is cocaine (but actually sugar) he admits that he knew Corinne was a cheater and he only threw the wedding to make it look like he had his life together. So Mindy decides to save the day by destroying the wedding. She announces to the guest that the wedding is cancelled because she seduced Josh and Corinne saw.

Back at the apartment Danny tells Richie that their dad is a loser. But Richie tells Danny he doesn’t have the same anger and their dad wants talk to him. Peter tells Mindy that he’s having a hard time because the wedding reminds her of his ex. Mindy complains that he can’t blame all of his problems on his ex. When he admits that he hasn’t had sex in a year she admits that there was a moment on the dance floor where he was attractive. After they finish teasing each other, Mindy and Peter make it to Danny’s in time to join the party wit their friends.

Like New Girl in the top of the hour, FOX's The Mindy Project Season 2 Episode 10 celebrated Thanksgiving in hilarious, absurd fashion last night.

The occasion also doubled as Josh and Corinne's wedding day, with Mindy date-less until Peter stepped in, shaved his face and got the party started.

Adam Pally and Mindy Kaling, as expected, are a great comedic duo, proving the former's addition to the cast this fall is something to be thankful for.

her, but his little brother's visiting from Florida. He practically raised Richie when their dad abandoned them and their mom. He's hopeful that Richie's going to move back to New York. Besides, as he reminds her, bad things happen when she goes to an ex's wedding. So Mindy calls Josh and tells him she has a VIP patient (Beyoncé), so she'll have to skip. Only, Josh implies that she's not being truthful, so "Beyoncé" has a miraculous recovery via cranberry juice. She tells Josh that not only is she coming, she's bringing a date.

The problem is that the pickings are slim. Jeremy (Ed Weeks) is still stress eating and the show seems to have completely forgotten that they used to be an off again on again thing so he's out. Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) is Morgan, so that's a no. And then a new face appears. Mindy's all prepared to swoop in, but Danny blocks her because her prey happens to be his baby brother (Max Minghella). Danny invites everyone to a party at his house. Richie's totally charming. Also? Maybe gay. They all worry that maybe Richie's in town to tell Danny and that Danny might be floored.

Peter (Adam Pally) talks Mindy into inviting him to the wedding, and she's pleasantly surprised at how nice he looks when he shows up to pick her up. Of course the wedding is beautiful. It's everything Mindy once dreamed. She's thoroughly depressed when Josh gives his speech and unveils the gorgeous rocking chairs he made in rehab. Peter doesn't let her wallow though and makes her get up and dance with him. He's so infectious that he gets just about everyone up to the dance floor.

Josh tells Mindy that he thinks Peter's pretty great. Unfortunately he says this just as Mindy opens a door and catches Peter having sex with the bride (Michelle Rose). Josh tells Mindy that he caught Corinne with her ex. That she's a sex addict, but that he didn't cancel the wedding because he wanted to show everyone that he wasn't a loser drug addict anymore. Mindy feels terrible for him so she tells him she's going to ruin his wedding for him. So she interrupts Shawne Merriman trying to distract everyone from the fact that the bride and groom are missing. She tells them that the wedding's canceled because she tried to have sex with Josh in the bathroom and that Corinne walked in and caught them. Josh tries to stop her, Mindy's on a roll and tells everyone that it's not Josh's fault that she's totally obsessed with him. CJ Wilson assures her that no one blames Josh, and he starts pelting her and Peter with food. Wedding ruined!

At Danny, Morgan feels like he has to clue Danny in about Richie being gay, and tries to ease Danny into it by telling him that maybe Richie will hook up with a not girl. Danny says that better be true since he's gay. Danny's always known. Richie gives Danny an LP of the Miami Vice soundtrack, and Danny's thrilled until he realizes that the LP isn't from Richie. It's from their dad.

He's mad for a bit, but when he calms down, he talks to Richie. He doesn't understand how he can be okay with their dad. He points out that Richie grew up without a dad because of him, and Richie tells him he had a dad growing up. Danny was his dad. Aw. Sweet!
