Parallel connection of resistors (or inductors) or series connection of capacitors 2 resistors (R1, R2): P(R1; R2)=R1*R2/(R1+R2) 3 resistors (R1, R2, R3): P(R1; R2; R3)=(R1^1+R2^-1+R3^-1)^-1 The latter formula can be easily extended to more than 3 items.
