Exponent in scientific notation parsed wrongly

Issue #178 invalid
Former user created an issue

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 178 ``` What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Type '2e-01' and press enter 2. 3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The expected output would be 0.200. Actual output is 2.000. The problem lies in the leading 0 in the exponent... Upon removal, the input is parsed correctly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? The problem occurs in version 0.9 as packaged with the beta version of Kubuntu Hardy (8.04). It is, in fact, a regression - the version of Speedcrunch in Kubuntu Gutsy (7.10) does not have this problem.

Please provide any additional information below. I've seen this on two separate installations of the program and have found it completely reproducible. It is a very annoying bug, because it prevents me from copying output of other codes directly into the program. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with Speedcrunch. :) ```

    ``` Hi Albert, thank you for the report and for being happy with the program :) It seems you found an issue with the package shipped with Hardy, since I can't reproduce it on Gutsy and it also doesn't happen on the brand new version 0.10 of the application. So I think you should report this on the Kubuntu error tracker (Launchpad?). ```
    ``` Yes, it's true: this doesn't happen on Gutsy. I'll take it to Launchpad then. Thanks for checking. ```
