Change settings more easily

It would be nice if it was easier to change settings (particularly
degrees/radians).

You might be able to make it so that clicking on a setting in the status
bar cycled through the options, like office suites often switch the
overtype mode.  Or clicking on a setting in the status bar could give a menu.
Even expanding the settings menu into several menus might be an
improvement, although if something is displayed somewhere (e.g. the status
bar), it is nice for the user to be able to change it from the same place.
