Current F[n] keyboard shortcuts for settings won't work for Mac OS X
Originally reported on Google Code with ID 311
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Look at keyboard shortcuts for various settings (F5-F8 for Results
Format, etc)
2. Try to type on most Macs
3. Something "Mac-cy" happens instead (like Exposé or Spaces)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.10.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8
Please provide any additional information below.
Just started using SpeedCrunch, and I absolutely love it. For me, this is
the first remotely decent calculator for a Mac.
Because Macs don't really use the F[n] keys in applications it is a little
tedious to switch between number formats. It would be nice to be able to
either re-define these shortcuts inside the app, since the normal Mac
method (via System Preferences) doesn't work.
(Alternatively, if there was an additional side-panel for clicking between
Settings, that would work as well, and might even be better!)

This must be the first programming calculator I've found to do most of the things I need. Unfortunately, as the OP has mentioned, on MacOSX function keys are cumbersome to use. A side bar with options could work, or cmd+digit.
On a semi related note, having an indication of what mode you're in would be very useful. Perhaps title bar? With a side bar for selection, that would also work.
Thanks!

Personally I've "inverted" the Fn keys to be "classical" keys so it's not something that struck me. However I might be among the not so many people that did this.
I think that adding a shortcut editor is a good thing to do in any case. From a user point of view being able to wire an application to your keyboard the way you like it is very nice.
One other point in favour of might be the latest models of high end MPB that comes with the "Touch Bar". I don't have such a machine and so I haven't had the possibility to try/test that stuff so I don't know how it fits in the picture.
