system color scheme makes syntax highlighting unreadable

Issue #316 duplicate
Former user created an issue

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 316

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Change default system color scheme to a darker one. (YMMV depending on
scheme)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Black operators i.e.: ()=+-/* etc. Instead these appear as a very light
brown that is almost unreadable against the white background of speedcrunch.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ver. 0.10.1 Ubuntu (eeebuntu) linux distro.

Please provide any additional information below.
No menu option for color changing. Color options not present in
~/.config/SpeedCrunch/SpeedCrunch.conf or anywhere else that I could find.

Speedcrunch is an excellent program, I use it at work in windows for
machining and shop math. I need to write a machining math book for it.

Thank you,
Brent R. Burns

    ``` Hi Brent. This sounds weird, please read issue 130. It should have been fixed for 0.10, and the operators should be the same default text color. Can you attach a screenshot and maybe provide some more information about your system? ```
    ``` Here is a speedcrunch screenshot with 2+2=4 entered in. I previously thought that the operators were light brown, it is actually light grey as you can see from the attached screenshot of my system colors settings. The theme is GTK Dark Room. I had to change it because the default settings were just to "happy."

    This a eee900A netbook that I do my calculus homework with. I'm running eeebuntu which is a downstream distro of Ubuntu optimized for eee netbooks. The OS is basically Ubuntu 9.04 jaunty.

    I can probably provide hex values for the colors if you need them. ```

    ``` And, issue 130 is very close to the problem I'm having. ```
    ``` @burnsb55: Problem is that operators always get the same color as "window text". It should be from the input box text instead. But this might be happening only on GNOME. I'll try to have a look at this for the next release. Would be great if you could try to reproduce this with 0.11-alpha though and give some feedback. Note, I don't have GNOME to try this out. Thank you. ```

    Debian Wheezy, KDE 4.8.4, Optimal2 theme. SpeedCrunch 0.10.1. Operators almost invisible!
    Please add menu entry for color configuration, or at least text config file.
