Chemical Formula Molecular Weight Capability

Issue #329 new
Former user created an issue

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 329 ``` I'd like to have a feature, that i.e. CuSO4 (Copper Sulfate) is treated like the molecular weight of Copper plus Sulfur plus 4 Times Oxygen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I see i.e. that CuSO4 is an unknown Variable, the parser stops and does not treat this as a chemical formula.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.10.1, Windows XP.

Please provide any additional information below. As reference implementation, see the Chemistry Assistant by Eni Generalic. In Javascript already done, see http://www.periodni.com/en/scientific_calculator.html and its embedded "calc4chem.js" Script.

Actually sounds like a neat idea. Have an option (OFF by default) that enables undefined variables to be sent through such a parser.
