To the power of [number] is shown, but ignored in calculations

Issue #423 duplicate
Former user created an issue

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 423

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Having a German keyboard layout, using Ubuntu
2. Opening SpeedCrunch
3. Typing a number to the power of another number, e. g. typing 10 with a hardware
keyboard (pressing the ^ key once, not twice)

What is the expected output?
The correct result. In this case 100000.

What do you see instead?
Wrong result. In this case 10.

What version of the product are you using?
This problem occurs with the stable release and the development version of speedcrunch.

It should be solved in the development version according to this comment: http://code.google.com/p/speedcrunch/issues/detail?id=399#c12

But it's not (using 0.11-alpha).

I said "development code", not "development version" :) Meaning you'd have to build
the application from its source code in order to get the benefits of the change, which
came after 0.11-alpha. Again, thil feature will be available in final 0.11.

Thanks for your reply and lol. Well I'm not that good with words.

Hope a bugfixed version isn't that far away in time.

    Keep up the good work.
