Issue #477 closed

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 477

keypad got remove in version 0.11 due to (the supposed reason) of not serving the goal
of speedcrunch of being keyboard oriented calculator.
what about users who like to use speedcrunch with much mouse interaction?
please get back the keypad, or at least make it hidden by default and there is an option
to display it.
I think this solution serves all tastes.

Yes, bring it back pls! Sometimes I don't have access to keyboard, my hand hold cup
of coffee or pencil. Moreover I'm used to type numbers on numpad and select functions
    via mouse.
BTW google code is closing, are you gonna to move to GitHub?

Seeing that this is one of the major outstanding milestone issues, let me pick up the discussion.

Are there any reasons why we should not just include verbatim the former code? Were there any technical (as opposed to philosophical) issues? I agree that SC does well without keypad, and I don't miss it. I think hiding it by default, and including a warning that pops up when enabling the keypad seems like a good compromise.

@polwel I had a local branch laying around for a long time. I tried to redesign the keypad and the global layout but never got to something I would be satisfied with. Ended up pulling the old code with minor adjustments. I hope it plays well with the new bitfield widget layout-wise. Please test it on your side.
