I'm trying to find a build of the latest SpeedCrunch without much luck. My distro only has 0.10.x (Ubuntu 16.04).

Is my only choice to build it?

Well, those are planned to appear for 0.12 ;) For Ubuntu 16.04, you can use the daily builds from the PPA: https://code.launchpad.net/~fkrull/+archive/ubuntu/speedcrunch-daily Alternatively, there's currently a "preview" of the standalone packages at: https://bitbucket.org/fk/speedcrunch/downloads

Both of those are development snapshots, but they're usually safe to use.
