Inability to hide menu bar (former Control+m)
Unfortunately as I browsed through the docs of .12 I see the Key-Combination Control+m for toggling the menu-bar missing. In my opinion this is has been a strong feature in .11 for aesthetical/non-cluttering reasons. Would be awesome if it could be readded.

I'm also painfully missing the feature to hide the title bar.
Other Applications like Viewnior or some terminal emulators provide the option to hide the menu bar inside a right click menu.
I'll stick with .11 so far because of this:
-
repo owner @nsswitchdotconf I like the right-click menu option idea. Will let it mature in my head.

I came to post about this too... In particular because win7 aero has the ugliest menu bar known to man baked in with no options to change it, other than disabling aero. How about once the menu is hidden, a right-click anywhere in the window opens the same menu vertically (i.e. Session, Edit, View, Settings, Help, and open all the same items in a menu-tree). That way if it were done inadvertently, you could get back to it reasonably easily. Right-click currently does nothing in the windows version.

Right click functionality would be great. :)

Another option is to have the menubar hidden until Alt is pressed.

The feature has indeed been removed, I'm afraid. It caused too much trouble for the mere aesthetical advantage that it provided - many more users complained/fell into a shortcut trap than those that were happy about the feature. I'm sorry to say that the feature is not coming back, unless a nice shortcut-less user experience comes to mind.
