cannot input circumflex symbol (^) with keyboard
Hey,
I just noticed that it's not possible to type the ^ (power) symbol. For example if i wanted to type 2^3 i'd hit 2, twice ^ and 3. But no matter how often i hit ^ it won't show up. Copy-pasting it from another application works. I'm able to type the ^ symbol in any other application.
I'm using SpeedCrunch 0.12 (Qt 5.6.2) on 64 Bit Linux (KDE Neon)

I'm using the german keyboard layout.

Oh, yeah, I can reproduce this. It may be this Qt Bug.
@waldemar_isbrecht As a workaround, you can use the "nodeadkeys" variant of the layout (I forgot what it's called in German). For exponentiation, you can also type
**
instead.I'm not sure if this is something that could be fixed by compiling Qt 5.6 differently. I'll try some things.

Well, apparently actually including the compose input plugin in the static binary seems to solve the problem.
@waldemar_isbrecht Could you try with these packages: https://bitbucket.org/fk/speedcrunch/downloads/ They should fix the issue.

@heldercorreia Why 1.0? I already merged it into branch-0.12 and it's a relatively benign change that I see no reason to delay. Or are we not using milestones in the way I think we are?
-
repo owner @fk It's just that there won't be a 0.12.1 release. Also, I don't want to delay 1.0 much more.

Which keyboard layout are you using on KDE? @fk may be able to help better than me.
