Menu lists do not open when in dual screen mode

Using SpeedCrunch version 0.10.1

I have Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS on my laptop, and an external display is plugged in HDMI port. When the SpeedCrunch is on my laptop display, the top command menus do not open: the menu title is just highlighted, but the command list does not appear. When I move the SpeedCrunch window to the external display and try to click on the menu titles there, first an empty box appears, then but if click left, then right, a normal command list appears.
