Space before e with digit grouping in scientific/engineering notation

When I use digit grouping and the scientific or engineering notation I get a space before the e in the result depending on the number of digits after the comma. It would be nice, if this would be independent. I would prefer to always have a space before the e.

Examples:

123 456,789 e10 => 123 456,789 e10

123 456,78e9 => 123 456,78 e9
