Keyboard shortcut to delete current "ans" in memory

Issue #865 wontfix
Former user created an issue

Hello, I love your software but one thing makes using it somewhat cumbersome.

I like autocompleting the "ans" when inputting -, +, *, / but what if I want for example to start anew with a negative number? There seems to be no shortcut to delete current "ans" from memory, I tried Esc, Del, Bkspc, Ctrl+N but none of them work, and I didn't find in documentation either. I have to delete the autocompleted "ans" manually each time.

Please introduce a shortcut (and maybe a visual indicator that something is currently in memory) to clean the "ans".

You can deactivate the feature in Settings > Behavior > Automatic Result Reuse. But I understand that you actually like the feature, but need an easy way to bypass it in some situations, e.g. starting an expression with a negative number. In that case, I recommend pressing the Escape key after pressing the - key, and then press the - key once again. It's not ideal, but you'll get used to it and be able to do it very easily and quickly with muscle memory.
