Ver 0.12 not available in Ubuntu repository

Using the recommended method to install e.g.,

sudo apt update
sudo apt install speedcrunch

apt only fetches version 0.10 from the repository

Your version of Ubuntu only includes an old version of Speedcrunch. That's not something we can change. Follow these instructions to install a more up-to-date version.
