Supported minus sign characters are U+002D and U+2212 (the latter only for unreleased version 1.0). The character you inserted in the first expression is not valid. How did you insert it? Is it coming straight from you keyboard (what type)? Or did you paste it from the web?

Hi I copied the line from office word the tool should only accept the supported chars

1 – 3 = 13
