Bitfield requires pressing a key to update

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure the bitfield view is closed
2. Enter e.g. 0x15 to the expression field
3. Open bitfield view

Expected behavior: The bitfield view shows the bits of the number. Observed behavior: The bitfield view stays blank until a key is pressed.
