FR: midi learn/toggle for "Write"

could we please have a way to trigger / toggle playtime's WRITE function via midi, rather than with mouse? this would be very useful to do directly from a controller.

This is already possible using Playtime's automation parameters. You just need to activate your MIDI device as "controller" in the REAPER MIDI devices setup and then "learn" the Write button ... it's a standard REAPER procedure. Please have a look at Playtime User Guide section "Automation" for more details.
