different midi channels/devices

hi,
i connected an akai apc_mini to playtime and it works great! my problem is, pretty much all midi notes are used by it already, to trigger clips.
i would like to use a normal midi keyboard in addition to the apc_mini, to trigger some extra scenes, but there are no notes left to be learnt. is there any way to make the midi learn function listen to different midi channels or even different midi devices? i want the c1 on channel1 to trigger something else than the c1 on channel2.

is there any possibility to do this?

p.s. to my oppinion reaper with playtime is way better than any abletons or bitwigs!
