open sourcing playtime?

I know it might seem an odd question (proposal) for a commercial product, but seeing that the last release was in 2018 I was wondering if the project is still active and if there are news about upcoming releaes and new features. Otherwise, as it happened to other similar softwares, it would be cool if the community of Reaper users and plugins devs could see and contribute to the maintenance and the evolution of playtime.

I use Ableton Live Session, but I miss some good features for playing jams and live sessions (one for all follow action at clip end). It would be cool if you and us could fill some of the Ableton gaps with playtime, and I would be available to spend some time on this, also for programming. And I think others would contribute too.
