Metronome : add an option to activate a metronom pre count when we hit record in a playtime slot.

For example : I want to record a drum part with a vsti in playtime. I configure the track in playtime (vsti track on group 1 track in playtime). I switch the reaper metronome on and I hit the record button of the first slot in playtime. But the record begins immediately and I have no time to prepare myself for recording. I always need to edit the beginning of my live midi recorded loops. Should it be possible to add an option for enabling 1 bar pre count metronome before recording like in ableton ? Thanks so mutch for this wonderful plugin!
