Issue #42 new

Filter settings are ignored when scaling images

Hi,

I am running the following code: (pgmagick 0.5.7, python 2.7.7, Graphicsmagick 1.3.x)

import pgmagick as pg
image = pg.Image('test.jpg')
image.filterType(FilterTypes.SincFilter)
image.scale("600x600")
image.quality(91)
image.write('test_scaled.jpg')

No matter what type of Filter I choose, the result is always the same (same hash)

Is there anything wrong with my code? Thanks.

    Hi,

    support to resize filter from GraphicsMagick > 1.3.19, using Image.thumbnail() method.

    http://sourceforge.net/p/graphicsmagick/code/ci/61b60808676392c52b980f4853ee20cddacfa7e4/

    pgmagick's Image.thumbnail() method support is planned from pgmagick version 0.5.8, when update graphicsmagick library.

    import pgmagick as pg
    image = pg.Image('test.jpg')
    image.filterType(pg.FilterTypes.SincFilter)
    image.thumbnail("600x600")
    image.quality(91)
    image.write('test_scaled.jpg')
