Microphone, headphone not working
Invalid connection
- The most likely root cause is that your jacktrip device was NOT able to connect to the jacktrip server (even if the UI appears to show otherwise).
- If you screen look like the one below then your jacktrip device is NOT connected to the jacktrip server. Note the headphone icon (top left corner) is in Blue color (this actually indicating Connection is in a Pending state).
- Microphone and headphone will only work if headphone icon show either Red/Green/Yellow to indicate that the jacktrip device is connected to the jacktrip server.
Valid connection
This is how the UI looks like for a working, valid connection
Note a couple of things
- The headphone icon is NOT in Blue
- The bottom of the screen shows addtional stats:
- bottom left shows number of packets lost
- bottom right shows ping value
How to fix
- Disconnect from current jacktrip server
- Logout from app.jacktrip.org
- Power off your jacktrip device
- Power on your jacktrip device
- Login to app.jacktrip.org
- Connect to the loopback test server to test
How to power off your jacktrip device? The power jack is located below the microphone jack, in the lower left corner.
If just one: either microphone or headphone is working
Find the "Input Volume" and the "Output Volume" and move both sliders to at least 90% level. Wait and make sure that the slider stays at 90% and not moving back to 0%. If problem persists, see above "How to fix" on how to restart (power off/on) your jacktrip device.
