sometimes stdin/out seems not enough, logging records are also a interesting data source for debugging failures

    Hi Holger / Ronny,

    I think this is a good idea too.

    Nose does this by default and I think it's useful for py.test to be able to do this as well.

    I did see the comment that it is trivial to instruct python logging to go to stdout / stderr such that it will get captured. However reporting log messages separately keeps things more clear.

    I've created an initial plugin called pytest-capturelog and it would be great if others could try it out.
