repo owner Many thanks for reporting! What version of the plugin are you using? Can you also provide a screenshot of project permissions https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/managing-project-permissions-802592442.html and project role memberships https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/managing-project-role-membership-802592468.html? Thanks!

repo owner Please assign a project role to Browse Project. This role is then shown in the tab.
If you have multiple permission schemes and specific roles only relevant for a certain permission scheme, you can configure what roles to show in the tab.
Okay?
-
reporter Currently i have the "Browse Projects" permission assigned to "Application Role (Any logged in user)". Does it means that in this case the plugin will show the roles? Is this a bug?
-
repo owner Any logged in user is not a project role. Please add e.g. Developer or Release Manager to Browse Project permission.
-
reporter For the project the permission "Browse Projects" is granted to "Any logged in user". I don't understand why the tab is not showing the project roles current assigned (I have the project role "Developer" with assigned users...this should be show, right?!)
-
reporter why this is not getting all the roles associated to the project and list the users? Don't really understand why the plugin has this dependency of assigning a specific project role to the general "browse projects" global permission.
-
repo owner You are right. Maybe it is an easier approach to simply show all project roles used in the permission scheme instead of this work around showing all roles in browse project. I will think about changing the concept and I would follow-up in a separate issue.

repo owner You can download projectroletab-2.3.0-rc1.jar from https://bitbucket.org/hski/projectroletab-public/downloads and install it via upload of jar file via Plugin Manager in JIRA. The plugin now shows all project roles, which are used in the permission scheme (and not only those with Browse Project permission).
Would be very interested in getting feedback, if this solves your issue.
Best regards, Holger

I just installed projectroletab-2.3.0-rc1 in my JIRA and its seems to be working ok. Nice feature. Thanks!
-
sorry...still not working properly.
the plugin only works if the "project role" we want to show has the "Browse Projects" permission.
If give "Browse Project" permission to everyone logged in, then i cannot see the users associated to some of the groups
-
repo owner "Any logged in user" is not a project role but an application role. See your attached screenshot Project Premissions. Release Manager should be shown for example.
-
repo owner - changed status to resolved
I have officially released version 2.3.0 of the plugin on the Marketplace.
