Allow alphabetical ordering of option values

Issue #73 resolved
Former user created an issue

As a Project Admin in Jira I want to have a button/list So that I can quickly order the list of option values alphabetically, either ASC or DESC

As the list grows larger and larger, I find myself spending time dragging and scrolling to maintain an alphabetical list. If there was a method to quickly click a button or choose a option from a menu to quickly alphabetize the list, this would be INCREDIBLY useful and time saving.

Thanks for getting in contact and also for providing a mockup. Much appreciated!

In general do you think there is a use case for reverse alphabetical order? I would like to keep the user interface simple and therefor think about just to provide alphabetical order, which means ascending order and ignore case from Aa to Zz.

Hi @hski. I'm completely in agreement the cleaner and simpler better. Honestly, I just used that to show possibilities. First and foremost, alphabetically would be personally the #1 use-case I can see. Other users might have some additional point of view.

At the very least if you provided the ability to sort alphabetically would be extremely valuable. I agree that ignoring case is perfect.

Let me know if I can provide any additional details.

I think that is brilliant and would satisfy the requirement and keep the user experience consistent.

Hello @naronne. Just want to check what compatibility is needed. What Jira version are you using? Jira 7.10 or above?

Thanks @hski , yes it does answer my question and I've already provided a top notch review on the marketplace. Thanks. I will be adding a new feature request for new use-case I've been looking at.
