Provide the ability to have an API Key for the REST API

I would like the ability to generate an API key for using the REST API. This would then allow me to not be required to use a specific user credentials.

Is this concept possible with the stanard Jira REST APIs? Do you have a link to respective documentation?

I mean for this kind of authentication and authorization, because I am not aware of that this is standard Jira possibility.

Closing this issue because no plans to create additional authentication mechanism beyond what Jira provides out of the box.
